Howdie Howdie Howdie! Looks like some of the old crew is still around... Looking for some the old R-Division snipes! Frank Zellers 12/31/03 1986-1989 DC2 Frank Zellers Send Email http://www.inlanddirect.com It has been a while since I have posted. Wanted to send my best to all of you. This February will be 8 years since my dear Rick (BT2 Rick Engels) has been passed on. I miss him dearly to this day! For those of you that don't know, I have been remarried now for about 6 years and am very happy. I am at home however, recovering from a stroke, just after Thanksgiving. I am too young for this (just 34)! I have graduated from a walker to a cane and my speech is still a bit impaired. I trust since God got me this far, He will bring me back all the way, in due time. Please keep me in your prayers as well as my poor, stressed-out husband. I hope all is well with all of my Pyro Pals & God Bless! 12/31/03 1988-1990 Kim Box-Engels (now Robbins) Send Email I am looking for Robert(Bob) Lindsey, Dean Owens, Roger Dardis or anyone that was a QM on board at that time. She is moored alongside an AOE, probably the Sacramento, with a Battleship, believed to be the Wisconsin, a few piers away. 8/20/03 1963-1966 Ray Gillman RDC Send Email Hey Hambone, Pyro was, when originally retired, placed in the mothball fleet at Suisun Bay, which, as you remember, was just down the river from NWS Concord. However, it seems I heard somewhere that eventually she was taken to Bremerton where she was scrapped. Maybe someone on this site can tell us for certain. Otherwise, I wouldn't trade my years on Pyro for all the tea in China . . . although I might trade it for all the hookers in Olongapo City!!!! Hope you are doing well. 8/19/03 75 to 79 C.H. Williams Send Email Hey Everyone, Just touching bases looking for anyone who was on board Pyro #24 the same time I was. Still living in Sacramento, CA.
